Jianshi Villa is located at No. 19, Chenzongli, Renmin Road, Chancheng District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. Jianshi is an outstanding overseas Chinese industrialist in modern times and is renowned at home and abroad. Jianshi Villa is the real estate of Jianshi when he was active in Foshan. It is well preserved today. The buildings are characterized by imitating Western styles while also combining Chinese and Western elements. The main building is an imitation of an Italian Renaissance mansion-style building, constructed with reinforced concrete. It has two floors. The first floor is a central hall with side wings. The ground is paved with black and white marble bricks in patterns. The window glass is frosted engraved colored glass with patterns of Chinese ladies, magnolias, and flowers and birds, which is very typical of Chinese style. The stairs are all made of teak, but the railings are imitated Western style. The floor on the second floor is paved with cement flower-patterned bricks and also has a ceiling, which is obviously Western style. The main building and the rear building are connected by a sky bridge for convenient transportation. The exterior wall of the rear building is all made of uniform water-ground blue bricks, imitating the local residential buildings in the Qing Dynasty. All the windows of the villa are very large, almost half the height of the wall, and the spacing is also very close, only a few dozen centimeters apart, which is extremely rare in local buildings. However, the window eaves are decorated with local common brick carvings, with distinct national styles. The west building is a three-story reinforced concrete and blue brick mixed structure imitating Western architecture, while the storage room is a four-story building imitating the local watchtower architecture.
