Huangpo Cave Reservoir is located within the Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, and was constructed in 1956. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and bordered by water on one. Opposite the reservoir, by the lakeside of Mingzhu Building, Metasequoia trees are planted.
This reservoir is the second largest artificial reservoir within Baiyun Mountain and was built to address the water supply difficulties for farmers’ production and daily life at the foot of the mountain. It is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
