Embarking on a decade journey with light, Yu Wenwen’s 2024-2025 ‘Shiguang’ tour sets sail. Time, like spring blossoms and autumn moons, summer rains and winter snows, is the cycle of seasons in the irreversible flow of nature, witnessing the boundlessness and vastness of years. Shiguang is about experiences and growth, walking through the tunnel of time, you and I, picking up fragments of memories along the path, moving forward. From 2023 to early 2024, Yu Wenwen initiated and completed the ‘Magic Cube Vision’ tour, which included Beijing, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Wuxi, Chengdu, Changsha, Shanghai, Singapore, and Malaysia, covering ten cities and eleven stations domestically and internationally. Each side of the ‘Magic Cube’ represents Yu Wenwen’s versatility in music and her multifaceted presence on stage.
2024 marks Kelly’s tenth year in the industry. In this new tour, she aims to integrate different life experiences into her music and performances. A decade of growth, the cycle of seasons, emotions and musical creations from various periods, all represent her unique ‘Shiguang’. This new tour, themed ‘Shiguang’, is divided into five chapters, retracing Yu Wenwen’s ten years since her debut. ‘Ten Years, Shiguang’ is the beginning, opening the box to see the joyful times inside the Magic Cube with me and those who like me, picking up the guitar, starting music. ‘Ten Years, Eroded Light’, time is like sand in the sea, it can erode appearances, experiences, and stories. But what remains is the smooth and brilliant after polishing. ‘Ten Years, Stone Light’, is breaking the solid as rock shackles, breaking the chains of the norm, the strong and vigorous vitality, the independent and individual rock spirit. ‘Ten Years, Ten Lights’, is Kelly’s decade, as colorful and ever-changing as a kaleidoscope, a multifaceted journey of performances. Picking up the details of ten years, every memorable moment. ‘Ten Years, Real Light’, is nostalgia for the past, imagination for the future, and more importantly, the real existence of ‘us’ in the present. The past is the accumulation of love for music; the future is the shining brilliance of flowers; and the present is the inner reality, the vitality of self, Kelly’s mutual love with her fans, the cherishing and touching of this moment.
The tour’s main visual is consistent with the theme concept. In a solid color background, Yu Wenwen holds an electric guitar made up of a retro TV, showing the passage of time and the feeling of looking back. The tide of time pushes us forward.
At every moment of this journey, every encounter with each other enriches every stage of life. From 2024 to 2025, Kelly Yuwenwen’s ‘Time Capsule’ world tour concert will grandly start with full sincerity. For this tour, Yuwenwen is fully involved in creative discussions and designs from the theme concept to the song list details, from music arrangement to dance and singing, from instrument interpretation to clothing and makeup, including the debut of new songs from the new album. It is not only to present richer musical expressions to fans, but also strive to present an ultimate feast of vision and hearing.
