Chuangye Park is located in the central area of Science City, Luogang District, Guangzhou, and is one of the main attractions of the new eight scenic spots of Guangzhou, known as ‘Kecheng Jinxiu’. The park adopts ‘Old City New Look’ as its conceptual theme, adhering to the principles of ‘natural harmony, ecological priority’ and ‘people-oriented’ to create a ‘unity of heaven and man’ environment for visitors.
Surrounding the park, you can find Luogang Administrative Center, Luogang Citizen Service Center, Luogang Conference Center, Guangzhou International Sports and Performing Arts Center, Children’s Palace, Cultural Center, Exhibition Hall, Cinema, and upscale residential areas. The architectural design pursues novelty, grandeur, and a sense of the times, reflecting Luogang’s open, atmospheric, and progressive image.The park is broadly divided into two areas. The eastern area serves as a civic square, a multifunctional and composite activity venue for citizens to exercise, communicate, and relax. The western area is mainly characterized by artificial water features, creating a natural, simple, and pastoral-like waterfront walking and leisure space. ‘Aoyou’ is located in the center of Xuelang Lake, with an exterior appearance resembling a group of dolphins actively chasing each other in the ocean. The sculpture combines the park’s beautiful natural environment, using an abstract expression technique, combined with plum blossom decorations, making the overall shape simple, elegant, spatially rich, and full of contemporary atmosphere.
Langhu Lake is located at the northwest end of the park, covering an area of about 20,000 square meters. The surrounding environment and landscape are beautiful, with charming scenery, especially in spring and summer when the water firs are lush green, lotus flowers are in full bloom, and the lake water is clear enough to see the bottom, resembling a round mirror. The reflection of ‘Aoyou’ in the lake is clearly visible, and occasionally, when a breeze blows, the ‘Aoyou’ on the lake surface comes to life.
