Bao’an Xiwan Mangrove Park is located at the intersection of Jinwan Avenue and Xihai Seawall in Bao’an District. With the theme of ‘Colorful Xiwan, Vibrant Life’, the park integrates three major features: mangrove culture, Xi Xiang regional culture, and coastal culture, offering a blend of leisure, recreation, and education.
Bao’an Xiwan Mangrove Park restores representations of Xi Xiang culture and history from the Qing Dynasty, such as the Gusu Wharf and Gusu Blockhouse. Along the way, there are marine-themed murals built, resembling a long scroll for viewing the sea, showcasing the diversity of marine culture. Additionally, structures like the Tide Listening Walkway, Mangrove Plaza, Wunong Bridge, Viewing Platform, and Yunfan Bridge have been constructed, along with sports facilities like soccer and basketball courts, and recreational areas like the Colorful Sand Pool.
Walking along Jinwan Avenue within the park and passing through Mangrove Plaza, you will arrive at the Viewing Platform. This platform, shaped like an anchor protruding into the sea, gives you the sensation of being suspended above the water. From here, you can enjoy an endless view of the sea and the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Coastal Expressway, offering a very open view and an excellent spot for watching the sea and listening to the waves. The park is open all year round from 06:00 to 23:00.
