The Qiaolingqian Scenic Area is located in Qiaolingqian Village, 6 kilometers southwest of Boshan urban area. With flying waterfalls and cascades, it is known as a ‘natural park’. The main scenic spots include Boshan Karst Cave, Queen Mother’s Pool, Linli Lake, Tianxing Lake and others. The scenic area integrates mountains, waters, forests, springs, caves and waterfalls. It is praised by experts as the ‘landscape gallery in central Shandong’. It is one of the eight major scenic areas of Boshan National Key Scenic Area. Boshan Karst Cave was formed more than 12 million years ago. The stalactites in the cave were formed between 200,000 and 300,000 years ago. The stalactites and stalagmites in the cave are like carvings and sculptures, full of fantasy and mystery. The wonderful landscapes such as ‘Eighteen Arhats Facing the South China Sea’ and ‘Immortal Pavilion’ are breathtaking. The whole cave is full of gurgling water everywhere. The air is fresh and pleasant, giving people a sense of elegance and mystery. Queen Mother’s Pool: Located in the south of Qiaolingqian Village, it is a rectangular pool about 100 meters in circumference and 2 meters deep. The waterfall pours down from the canyon. The curtain of water hits the cliff, and silver flowers splash everywhere. Seven boulders more than 10 meters high stand on the upper left of the waterfall, as if fairies are bowing their heads and meditating. According to legend, in ancient times, when the Queen Mother patrolled the mortal world and saw that the rocks here were smooth and the waterfalls were flowing rapidly, she stopped her auspicious clouds and took a bath in the pool. Therefore, it is called ‘Queen Mother’s Pool’. Linli Lake: Located five Chinese miles west of Qiaolingqian Village, it is an artificial lake built in a high mountain canyon and embedded among the overlapping peaks. The lake is full of water all year round. The surrounding mountains are green and the scenery is attractive. Tourists can fish by the shore or go boating on the lake. It is full of fun.
