The Pu Songling Cultural and Expo Museum is under the jurisdiction of the Zibo Chinese Culture Promotion Association, the Liaozhai Culture Professional Committee, and Shandong Liaozhai Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd. It is the first domestic international Liaozhai cultural research, promotion, and dissemination base established by descendants of Mr. Pu Songling. This museum is based on excavating, researching, and perfecting the Liaozhai cultural heritage system. From multiple aspects, angles, in-depth, three-dimensional, practical ways, it better restores the style of Liaozhai cultural heritage fundamentally and shows its unique position and multiple values in building a strong cultural country today and serves the construction of the motherland. The museum’s collections are unique, rich, systematically complete, with prominent value, classified and displayed. Lvpingzhai, Farm Old House, Liuxian Jinshi, Mianbi Residence, Leixuan, Huanbi Pavilion, etc. are all residences where Mr. Pu lived and named. Restoring and perfecting the style of this historical site is a great innovation and highlight. The major discovery of Liuxian Jinshi by this museum (such as a batch of seals including Fengtian) fills the academic and cultural heritage gap. It excavates and deciphers this national treasure of Mr. Pu in the history of Chinese seal studies from the source, laying the foundation for establishing Mr. Pu’s contribution and status in the history of Chinese seal studies. In order to change from simply researching and promoting Liaozhai culture only in the field of literature for a long time, it is necessary to conduct multi-disciplinary, three-dimensional and comprehensive research and promotion of Liaozhai culture mainly in literature, history, seal studies, calligraphy, aesthetics, paleography, surname studies, agricultural science, medicine, political economy, Yi-ology, metaphysics, diplomacy and other fields. Actively responding to the national policy of building a strong cultural country by the Party, being practical and seeking truth is the right way. The museum has a Farm Old House, aiming to restore the style of historical sites and highlight the spirit of Mr. Pu Songling and his wife’s arduous entrepreneurship and noble character. At the same time, it collects and treasures various manuscripts, copies, and engraved editions of Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio, ballads, miscellaneous works, poetry collections, essay collections, and ci collections. It is a comprehensive collection of Liaozhai’s writings, or a database. It is a major highlight in researching and displaying Liaozhai’s cultural heritage. The Pu family history and culture exhibition hall is a family history museum centered on Pu Songling. The historical materials are rich and detailed. It integrates the thousand-year historical inheritance and changes of Pu surname culture and fully shows the spirit of the Pu family’s struggle against fate, tenacious struggle, continuous vitality, and worrying about the worries of the world and enjoying the joys of the world. At the same time, it also shows Mr. Pu Songling’s outstanding contributions to the development and inheritance of surname culture.
