Matahu National Wetland Park is located in the northeastern part of Huantai County, Zibo City. The scenic area of Matahu Lake is divided into the main lake area and the reed area. The lake covers an area of thousands of acres, creating a scene of sparkling water, while the reed area spans tens of thousands of acres, showcasing the swaying beauty of the reeds. The main lake area spans 4,000 acres and features 24 bridges of various shapes and colors, inspired by the line from Du Mu’s poem, ‘Twenty-four bridges in the moonlit night, where does the jade-like person teach to play the flute?’ Notable historical sites in the main lake area include the Temple of the Five Sages, Xu Ye’s Study, the Ice Mountain Ruins, Cypress Bed Platform, Autumn Water Islet, Jin Qiu Pavilion, and the Bright Mirror Bridge.

The second phase covers the vast reed area where visitors can navigate through the reeds in small boats or cycle along the long paths, enjoying leisurely times, experiencing a relaxing holiday, and appreciating the gifts of nature. The scenery of Matahu Lake is likened to the West Lake in the north and the Xixi Paradise in the north of the river.
