The Liaocheng Confucian Temple is located on the north side of Dongjie, Daozhou Ancient City. It is a temple where Confucius and sages of all dynasties were worshipped in the past. The government school is also set up here. It was rebuilt during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. After several expansions, it had a considerable scale by the Qianlong period, covering an area of more than ten mu. It is a relatively complete Confucian temple building complex in northwest Shandong. In the Confucian temple, you can listen to the wisdom of ancient sages, experience traditional Chinese culture such as guqin, chess, calligraphy, painting and tea, and feel the profoundness of Chinese culture.
