The grand Oriental mythological show ‘Golden Face Dynasty’ is a masterpiece that draws on over 30 years of performing arts essence from the OCT Group. Set against the backdrop of the world’s nine great wonders, the ‘Sanxingdui’ culture, and relying on the mythological system of ‘Shan Hai Jing’, it follows the love story of the ‘Bird Tribe’ princess and the ‘Fish Leap Tribe’ prince as the main thread.
Through six major chapters – ‘Birth’, ‘Fate’, ‘Succession’, ‘Battle’, ‘Sacrifice’, and ‘Dynasty’ – it tells the mythological story of two imperfect individuals healing and achieving greatness together. The mysterious ‘Sanxingdui’ and romantic ‘Shan Hai Jing’ elements serve as the finishing touches, interpreting and innovating traditional myths with contemporary aesthetics, showcasing Chinese characteristics, style, and grandeur. Since its premiere in August 2007, ‘Golden Face Dynasty’ has performed over 5000 shows, attracting millions of tourists from more than 50 countries and regions. It has won numerous awards, including the ‘Live Entertainment Award’ at the IAAPA Annual Exhibition in the United States, the ‘Special Jury Award’ at the Chinese Dance Lotus Award, and has been highlighted as a key Beijing Olympic play and a top tourist performance recommended by Beijing. In 2021, ‘Golden Face Dynasty’ was revamped with prop design fully integrating ‘Sanxingdui’ civilization, replicating the shapes of unearthed artifacts such as the bronze divine tree, sun bird, and bronze vertical eye mask; costumes and scenery like ‘giant bird eggs’, ‘wings’, ‘fish fins’, and ‘wearable puppets’ are innovative and eye-catching; multimedia image arrays and human-screen interactions present a perfect stage effect, creating an immersive experience that leads the audience into a magical Eastern world. The newly upgraded OCT Grand Theater enhances content, space, and experience with three major dimensions, empowering space with technology and art, and integrating drama and exhibition across boundaries, transforming into an urban life complex full of artistic atmosphere, creating a mythological theater committed to telling the ‘urban space lifestyle’, and providing a more balanced urban ‘slow life’ for tourists.
