Lipo Fengqing is located by the Fenghu Lake in Huizhou West Lake, boasting beautiful scenery and clear air under the bright moon; originally, there were Lipo Pavilion, study rooms, and lotus ponds, with lychee and plum trees planted. When the lychee ripens in midsummer, the red fruits hang heavily, and the green shades are charming, resembling a brocade screen. Qing Yin Yuanjin praised it as ‘the wind of Lipo is increasingly clear, and the days of the peach garden are increasingly warm,’ thus becoming the famous ‘Lipo Fengqing’ scenic spot.
Buildings with Lingnan style, such as Lipo Fengxuan, Qingguang Xuan, Xiaozuo Pavilion, Lixiang Pavilion, Zhaoyue Pavilion, Yue Xie, and Lingtai, have been constructed to respect history, environment, and to restore Zhongyuan Pavilion in its original form. There are also garden features like Ji Deng Villa and General Corridor, and a display room for Deng Zhongyuan’s historical materials. At the Lipo Qing Dock cruise center in the scenic area, there are over 60 cruise boats, including water rollers, double rickshaw pedal boats, four-person duck pedal boats, four-person vintage car electric boats, six-person electric boats, and 8-10 person painted boats, making it a night cruise spot in Huizhou West Lake. To meet the needs of more tourists, the ‘West Lake Lake Music Tea Bar’ project has been created on the basis of the night cruise, which is a great place for boating at night, enjoying music and tea, and experiencing a happy slow life. As the sun sets, cranes and egrets on Fenghu Bird Island (where there are 50-60 species of birds in West Lake) sing together and fly all over the sky, forming a peaceful and tranquil picture of a hundred birds. It is a beautiful scene in West Lake to invite friends to take a cruise around the bird island, often with birds flying by, and the lake water reflects the fun.
