The Jiankou Great Wall is a famous wild section of the Great Wall in Beijing. This section of the Great Wall is backed by steep mountains. It is precipitous and beautiful. Moreover, it has not been renovated artificially and appears primitive and natural. Due to its primitiveness and steepness, from the perspective of protecting cultural relics and safety, without permission from relevant departments, tourists are not allowed to climb it without authorization.
The Jiankou Great Wall roughly starts from the Jiuyan Tower in the north and ends at the Niujiaojiao Bian in the south. It is about more than 20 kilometers in length. The Great Wall can basically be divided into three sections. The section from Jiuyan Tower to Beijing Knot is the northern section. The section from Beijing Knot to Jiankou (also known as Jiankou) is the middle section. The section from Jiankou to Niujiaojiao Bian is the southern section.
