Donggao Spring is located on the right side inside the gate of Wanzhu Garden. The spring pool is square, about 2 meters in length and width respectively, and 1.5 meters deep. The pool wall is made of stone. On the east pool wall, there are three large characters ‘Donggao Spring’ engraved. Its name is derived from the fact that the spring water flows out at a relatively high level. This vigorous spring water overflows the pool edge all year round, forming a stream, gurgling and flowing. It winds around houses and passes through corridors, continuously replenishing fresh blood for the beautiful Wanzhu Garden.
