The Olympic Aquatic Park, also known as Shunyi Water Park, is a significant venue from the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, located in Chaobai River, Mapo Township, Shunyi District, Beijing. Divided into still water and whitewater sections according to Olympic competition requirements, it primarily serves four events: rowing, whitewater kayaking, still water kayaking, and swimming marathon.
The Shunyi Olympic Water Park’s logo is crafted with traditional Chinese calligraphy lines, reflecting a strong Chinese cultural heritage. The color scheme adopts the five colors of the Olympic rings, symbolizing the perfect combination of ancient Eastern civilization and modern Olympic spirit. The logo形象 features a stylized water sports athlete, embodying the characteristics of both a rower facing away from the finish line and a kayaker with both hands on the paddles, with the central blue-green water pattern resembling waves, vivid and illustrative. Today, the Olympic Park may not have the hustle and bustle of the past, but it has become a place for Beijing’s residents to enjoy water views and cool breezes. Visitors can appreciate a 30-meter-long gallery showcasing the best Olympic moments and experience urban rafting, banana boats, and other water games.
