Yingyan Pavilion is located within the Xianguding Scenic Area in Weihai. It is said that after the Eight Immortals’ eastern journey, they were exhausted and came to Xianguding, where Lu Dongbin once visited, to rest. However, the cave where Lu Dongbin lived was too small to accommodate all the immortals, so he led them to rest on a large rock at the top of the mountain. After the construction of the Xiangu Temple, this pavilion was built here for tourists to rest and cool off while climbing the mountain, with the intention of absorbing the aura of the Eight Immortals for long-lasting fortune and longevity. It is open all year round, 24 hours a day, with the specific business status subject to the daily opening conditions.
