Hangzhou Xingtiandi Group invested 1.5 billion yuan to transform an industrial plant into an international high-tech theater with 1442 seats, collaborating with internationally renowned performing arts groups to launch the international production – Hangzhou ‘X Show’. ‘X Show’ is an international circus art show created by internationally renowned performing arts groups and is the only resident show in Asia. It breaks the visual experience of multidimensional space, integrating opera, acrobatics, dance, magic, and more into a resident show. With one performance, two story lines, 14 acts, 50 artists, 7 nationalities, and a thrilling 73-minute show, audiences can experience an international art audio-visual feast without leaving the country. The ‘Hangzhou X Show’, created by Cirque du Soleil, tells the story of a male and female protagonist from two different worlds – East and West – who go through thrilling and fantastical journeys, ultimately defeating evil and restoring the world’s unity. The wise elder ‘Watcher’ opens the box and narrates: In a chaotic world, the serpent demon divides the world into two kingdoms – Eastern Aria and Western Petra, with the innocent male and female protagonists being adopted by the two monarchs and growing up. Under the persecution of dark forces, they embark on a mission, experiencing dangerous and beautiful scenes, and finally, on the summit of the sacred mountain, they combine the dragon and phoenix seals they control into one, merging the two nations, and peace finally returns to this magical land. Two groups of audiences, each for their own camp, sit on 360-degree rotating seats; one show, two dreams; East and West, two great cultures meet here; experience every thrilling and fantastic scene, and shock your senses. Why is ‘Hangzhou X Show’ a performance to see twice in a lifetime? Because the movable track of the Sun Theater allows the stage to have a dual perspective, and it is said that the audience on both sides of the same play will see 20% different plots. As time goes by, the stage is constantly changing, and every place seems to be performing a world. Opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 19:30 to 20:43; Sundays from 15:00 to 16:13; Mondays are closed all day; on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day, from 15:00 to 16:13, 73 minutes.
