The Green Heart builds a green leisure space. Along the 5.5-kilometer dynamic vitality loop road, four rows of ash trees and two rows of ginkgo trees are planted in sequence. A total of 6,000 tall colorful-leaved trees will form a golden star-shaped landscape avenue in autumn. The loop road is composed of an 8-meter-wide cycling lane and a 3-meter-wide walking path, which can meet the needs of citizens for running, cycling and fitness.
The Green Heart completes rainwater transmission and collection through rain gardens, landscape lakes, old canal channels and grassed swales, realizing the landscape utilization of rainwater. Rainwater in a 50-year flood event will not be discharged. The water storage capacity reaches 1.05 million cubic meters, building a demonstration of a sponge city. The image logo of the city’s Green Heart contains the new development concept of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. The main constituent elements use the abstract shape of a ‘five-pointed star’ representing ‘people’ and the very representative’star-shaped garden road ring’ form of the city’s Green Heart. The two stars are intertwined and interspersed, reflecting people stretching freely in nature, harmonious rhythm and full of vitality. The five-pointed star contains the number ‘five’, echoing the five major development concepts of innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing that are solidly implemented in the planning and construction of the city’s Green Heart, reflecting the spirit of the times. At the same time, in traditional Chinese culture, the number ‘five’ also implies dynamic balance and conveys the beautiful meaning of continuous growth and sustainable development. In terms of color, sky blue and natural green are used respectively. The tone is fresh and bright, showing the ecological pattern of blue and green intertwined and water city integrated, reflecting the poetic resonance between humans and nature.
