Introduction to the park: Shanghai Malulu Grape Theme Park was established in 2004. It is located in Malulu Town, Jiading District, which is renowned as ‘the hometown of grapes in China’. The park covers an area of 500 mu and is a large ecological modern agricultural park integrating grape research, popular science, demonstration, training and leisure. The park is equipped with places such as the Grape Science Popularization Museum, Science Popularization Garden, Science Popularization Corridor, Welcome Garden, Aquatic Flower and Vegetable Garden, Grape Potted Plant Area and Children’s Paradise.
Malulu Grape Park was first opened to the public in the summer of 2006. With its strong grape culture and technological innovation, it was rated as ‘high-quality fruit production base’ by the Ministry of Agriculture. The grapes produced by Malulu Grape Park are ‘Chuanlun’ brand organic grapes. In order to fully display the scientific and technological content and cultural connotation of Malulu grapes, it took the lead in passing organic conversion certification in 2008 and passed organic certification in 2009. It has passed organic food certification for more than ten consecutive years. In 2019, it was rated as one of the top ten safe and high-quality reliable orchards in Shanghai in the selection activity of ‘Top Ten Safe and High-Quality Reliable Orchards in Shanghai’. In the ‘Anxin Cup’ 2019 Shanghai local high-quality grape evaluation and promotion activity, it won the gold medal. In 2020, it won the honorary title of national modern agricultural demonstration base. The Aquatic Flower and Vegetable Garden covers an area of 8,000 square meters and is divided into a vegetable area and an aquatic flower area. In the aquatic flower area, lotus and water lilies are planted in the shallow flowing water; goldfish are raised under the water lilies. In the vegetable area, a variety of seasonal vegetables are planted. Every year when the park opens on May 1st, tourists can pick various fresh vegetables here and enjoy the joy of harvest. Grape Corridor: The Grape Corridor is 1,500 meters long. It not only provides shade, but also the neatly arranged fruiting parts are like a straight line, which is a concentrated manifestation of the production level of Malulu grapes. Grape Science Popularization Museum: The Grape Science Popularization Museum is a three-story building shaped like a wine castle. Relying on the park and its surrounding natural environment and taking ‘grape science and technology culture’ as the core, it integrates grape culture, wine culture and corporate culture. After completion, together with other places such as greenhouses in the park, it constitutes the core of the science popularization education base of Malulu Grape Park. Grape Welcome Garden: The last paragraph of ‘Ode to Malulu Grapes’ reads, ‘Tasting Malulu grapes, relishing the colorful life scenery’. Grapes are like people, containing colorful dreams. It builds small private rooms for tourists to rest under the grape trellis. The small private rooms are integrated with the grape trellis, which are both comfortable and elegant. Tourists can not only enjoy delicious grapes, grape juice, taste grape bud tea and grape dumplings, but also relax their souls in the fresh and natural environment. Children’s Paradise: Outside the wooden fence, there is a green grape corridor. Under the grape trellis, there is a stretch of green grass.Lively and slightly lazy eared rabbits, colorful turkeys, snow-white doves, and adorable lambs create a lively atmosphere.
