Dengzhou Spring is located to the west of Baotu Spring. In the Ming Dynasty, Yan Bi praised it in his ‘Poetry of the Seventy-Two Springs’: ‘A vein from Wendeng penetrates Tancheng, clear and pure without any clamminess. How I wish for the scholar Su Xingzhi of the Snow Hall, to chant aloud amidst the ten thousand bamboos, cleansing the chill.’ Originally located inside the courtyard at No. 57 Huaqiangzi Street, the spring pool was rectangular and was once covered under a factory building. It was filled in 1994 and restored again in August 1997. The main spring pool now measures 3 meters in length, 2 meters in width, and 4 meters in depth, with an encircling pool around it, sharing the same depth and structure as the main pool. It is open all year round, 24/7.
