The Zhouqiao is a famous bridge at the intersection of the imperial street and the Bianhe River during the Northern Song Dynasty. The Zhouqiao was first built in the Tang Dynasty and was named Bianzhou Bridge. In the Five Dynasties, it was called Bian Bridge. In the Northern Song Dynasty, the Bianhe River was called Tianhe River, and the bridge was renamed Tianhan Bridge and commonly known as Zhouqiao. Due to its wide bridge deck, the Zhouqiao is very magnificent. The story of Yang Zhi angrily killing the rogue Niu Er in Water Margin took place here. In the Northern Song Dynasty, there were many night markets on both sides of the Zhouqiao. Currently, the Zhouqiao is buried on the south side of the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Dazhifang Street in the downtown area of Kaifeng. In 1984, archaeological excavation discovered a complete ancient bridge with a width of 30 meters. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 17:00 all year round.
