Yuntai Temple is located in Licheng District, Jinan City. On October 10, 2013, Yuntai Temple in Jinan was announced as the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in Shandong Province by the People’s Government of Shandong Province. There are five or six stone tablets left from the renovations of various eras standing in the temple courtyard. According to the inscriptions, Yuntai Temple was ‘built in the first year of Yuanzhen (1295).’ The temple is named Yuntai Temple because the surrounding mountains are surrounded by mist like a cloud terrace. It is also called Tianjing Temple because the temple is located in Tianjingyu. In recent years, Yuntai Temple has been renovated and gradually resumed incense offerings. On the cliff on the east side of the temple, there is a stone-built attic built against the mountain stone kiln. Locals call it ‘Stone Buddha Tower’.
