The Guandi Temple in Tai’an is part of the ancient buildings of Mount Tai, a national key cultural relics protection unit in the sixth batch. It was built by Shanxi merchants doing business in Tai’an in the Ming Dynasty. During the reigns of Kangxi, Qianlong, Xianfeng, Guangxu and Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, it was expanded and renovated many times. There is a cypress planted by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty in the temple.
