The national 2A-level tourist area is located in Xingjiayu Village, 20 kilometers north of Laiwu urban area, covering an area of about 8 square kilometers. The tourist resources in the area are rich, and the vegetation coverage rate of the mountain body reaches more than 60%. The main landscapes include Qinglong Gorge, Wulong Gorge, Laolong Gorge and Tianlü Lake. There are three main characteristics of resources in the scenic area: First, the gorges in the area are deep and dangerous, the pools are clear and the water is clear, the trees are luxuriant and the forest is dense, and the environment is elegant. Especially when boating between the green mountains and clear waters, it is even more refreshing. Second, it is rich in animal and plant resources. There are hundreds of species of birds and beasts, which is a good place for popular science education. Third, there are countless pictographic stones in the area, each with its own shape, like people or beasts, which makes people sigh at the magic of nature’s creation. The main scenic spots are: The Yanzixiayu Reservoir is built against the mountain. Under the cliff about 10 meters to the west of the reservoir dam, there was originally a stone stream. Hundreds of swallows inhabit it. Later, due to the impoundment of the reservoir, the stone cave was submerged in the water. Every spring, a large number of swallows will still stay here. Jinli Garden has more than 200 chestnut trees with luxuriant branches and leaves and a shady green tree. Around August 15th, when chestnuts are ripe, golden chestnuts will fall down. Qinglong Pool lies among the verdant surrounding mountains. The pool water is deep, green and cool. It is five or six meters deep in the depths. The clear pool water and green mountains are companions. No matter how dry the weather is, the pool water never dries up. The Lovers’ Stone is two stones side by side on Qinglong Pool that resemble a man and a woman. There is a poignant legend here. The Longevity Bridge is built over the canyon stream. It is made of steel wire and wooden boards. It is about 10 meters long. Under the bridge, there is a rock that resembles a divine turtle. The Longevity Bridge is also known as ‘The Spirit Turtle Holding Longevity’. The Flying Rock. It is said that at noon in the summer of 1970, after a loud thunder, a huge rock 40 meters above the left cliff was shaken down and fell into the mountain stream, known as the Flying Rock. The Three Gorges plank road is more than 1,800 meters long. At the foot, the mountain stream is flowing with gurgling spring water. Climbing up while holding the railing is very leisurely.
The Laolongwan Waterfall is the largest waterfall among the Three Gorges. The vertical height is 50 meters and the horizontal width is 60 meters. Water splashes are visible 100 meters away, and the sound of water can be heard 1,000 meters away. Tianlü Lake, ‘A flat lake emerges from a high gorge’. Tianlü Lake is known as the highest lake in Shandong. The scenery of heaven on earth, where the water and the sky merge into one color, is magnificent and indescribable. On both sides are green mountains and ridges, one after another. The side facing the lake is as steep as if cut by a knife. There is the God of Longevity Stone. The eyes, nose, mouth and wrinkles on the forehead of the old god of longevity are very conspicuous. The Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl. The two huge rocks more than 20 meters apart opposite Xiaxiang are like two giant dragons playing in the mountain stream. The round huge rock is the pearl that the two dragons are playing with. The three are less than 20 meters apart, which is indescribable.The Immortal’s Bed is about 4 meters wide from north to south and about 0.8 meters long from east to west. It is a flat rectangular boulder, resembling a huge bed.
The One-Line Sky is about 15 meters high, more than 40 meters deep, and only 0.8 meters wide. It is as neat as if cut by an axe in a deep and narrow slit. The Sky Ladder is built according to the precipitous mountain terrain. There are more than 280 steps, with a length of more than 100 meters and a vertical drop of nearly 70 meters. The Red Stone Valley is composed of a large area of fiery red rocks. Geological data shows that the red sandstone in the late Cretaceous period is the main body forming the fiery red rocks of the ‘Red Stone Valley’, which is related to the metamorphism of the pre-Sinian and Sinian systems.
