The Qin Taishan Inscription Stone is located on the west side in front of the terrace of the Dongyuzuo Hall in Dai Temple. It is the earliest work among the stone inscriptions on Mount Tai. The original inscription stone was beside the Jade Maiden Pool on the top of Mount Tai and was later moved here. The Qin Taishan Inscription Stone is engraved with the merit inscription of Emperor Qin Shihuang and the edict of the second emperor. It was written in seal script by Li Si, the prime minister. The original text of the inscription stone has 222 characters. After going through many vicissitudes, only ten characters remain now: seven characters of ‘Chen Quji, Chen Qingyi, Chen’ are complete, and three characters of ‘Si Meisi’ are incomplete. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:00 to 18:30.
