Qushuiting Street is a famous historical and cultural characteristic old street in Jinan, the Spring City, known at home and abroad. It is adjacent to Daming Lake in the north, Xigengdao in the south, the north gate of Defu Palace in the east, and the Confucian Temple of Jinan Prefecture in the west. The springs from Zhenzhu Spring and Wangfu Pond converge into a river and depend on Qushuiting Street.

On one side are old houses with black bricks and broken tiles, and on the other side are clear springs with swaying green algae. People living near the springs wash rice and clothes here. Nowadays, Qushuiting Street still completely retains the spring city style of ‘springs in every household and weeping willows in every family’ as described in ‘The Travels of Lao Can’. Qushuiting Street is easy to pronounce and pleasant to hear, extremely rich in cultural charm.
