Laizhou Bay refers to the sea area south of the line from the Yellow River Estuary to Longkou. It has an area of 6060 square kilometers and is one of the three major bays in the Bohai Sea. It is located in the southern part of the Bohai Sea in Shandong Province, eastern China. The bay is surrounded by Dongying, Weifang, and Yantai cities in Shandong Province. Due to the silting of the Yellow River Estuary into the sea, the area of the bay is constantly changing. Laizhou Bay is shallow and has a lot of sediment, making it difficult to build ports. However, the large amount of nutrients brought by the Yellow River make Laizhou Bay a major fishing ground in China, especially famous for prawns. There are large reserves of petroleum and brine along the coast. Shengli Oilfield has an oil extraction base. The sea salt produced in Shouguang and Laizhou is abundant. The opening hours are subject to the actual opening status on the day.
