The Pavilion of Lofty Mountains and Flowing Waters is located northeast of Doumu Palace. The Jingshi Valley is situated on a high ridge. It is said to be the place where Boya played the zither. The pavilion is a square stone pavilion with four columns. The side length is 6.1-6.6 meters, and the total height is 4.4 meters. It was built by Wan Gong, the right censor-in-chief of the Metropolitan Procuratorate in the sixth year of Longqing period of the Ming Dynasty. The columns of the Flowing Waters Pavilion are equipped with corner beams, supporting corner beams, gold purlins, and a four-rafter roof with single ridge. There are relief tile ridges, hook-shaped tiles, and dripping tiles. The upper part between the columns is equipped with a fascia board. Open all year round and open all day.
