Lu Meisun’s Former Residence, also known as ‘Hanbi Mountain Villa’, is located at No. 7 Yusan Road. Lu Meisun, who originally hailed from Jingde, Anhui, came to Qingdao in 1930 and resided here. Her father, Lu Fengqi, styled Rui Tian, was a successful candidate in the imperial examinations in the year of Ding Chou (1877) during the Guangxu Emperor’s reign. He was appointed as an editor in the Hanlin Academy and later served as the educational commissioner of Shanxi. His posthumous works were compiled into ‘Jingranzhai Miscellaneous Writings’, with a preface written by Wu Yusheng. The site is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day for exterior viewing.
