The exterior facade of the former residence of the manager of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation is unpretentious. The walls are built with Qingdao granite. The roof is a folded Mansard roof and covered with ox tongue red tiles.
The former residence has been inhabited by important figures among European and overseas Chinese in Qingdao. Therefore, this private residence has also become an important place for socializing in Qingdao’s high society.
