Liu Yuxi Memorial Hall in China

The Liu Yuxi Memorial Hall in China is situated on the Yanxi Mountain of Lianzhou Middle School. The hall, with its upturned eaves and dougong brackets, features vermilion pillars that exude the charm of classical Chinese palatial architecture.

The simple yet majestic memorial hall, after meticulous curation, radiates an allure that is enhanced by the combination of lighting, murals, poetry, and bronze statues, which together evoke a sense of historical depth.

On the first floor, visitors will find a statue of Liu Yuxi, his poetry and prose, and an exhibition of historical sites. Particularly noteworthy are the more than ten exquisite Chinese paintings, which are created based on a selection of Liu Yuxi’s poems left in Lianzhou.

The entire first floor systematically restores, through artistic means, the achievements Liu Yuxi accomplished during his four and a half years in Lianzhou. The second floor is a comprehensive exhibition hall of Lianzhou’s historical and cultural heritage, while the third floor displays the contemporary achievements of Lianzhou.

The hall is open all year round from 9:00 to 17:00, with specific opening hours subject to the on-site notice at the scenic spot.
