The exhibition area spans a total of 200 square meters, divided into four exhibition rooms. The primary display content includes the historical evolution of Ji’an, historical figures, and revolutionary history. It also showcases some unearthed cultural relics from the Jizhou Kiln and Linjiang Kiln. More than 500 historical artifacts are exhibited, including stone tools, stamped pottery shards, pottery from various dynasties, and revolutionary relics, all with distinct local characteristics. The museum houses a total of over 700 cultural relics, including 50 pieces classified as first, second, and third-grade collections. These include stone axes, knives, and sharpening stones from the Neolithic Age; large bronze bells and bronze甬bells from the Shang Dynasty; bronze mirrors from the Han Dynasty, and the Ba Ling Bao Xiang Hua mirror made in Luling during the Tang Dynasty; various types of porcelain produced by the Jizhou Kiln during the Song Dynasty; Zhizheng Treasure Money cast by Ji’an Road during the Yuan Dynasty; and a double dragon twined string patterned bronze bell cast in the sixth year of the Xuande period (1431) of the Ming Dynasty, inscribed with ‘Jiangxi Province Ji’an Prefecture Luling County Gaofeng Mountain Guangfu Temple’. A significant number of Song Dynasty Tianmu glaze, Yuan Dynasty Longquan celadon, and early Ming Dynasty blue and white porcelain specimens were excavated from another important kiln site in the Jizhou kiln system – the Linjiang Kiln. The museum also collects two billion-year-old Sinian period Ordovician strata in southern China, including the Cambrian horn fossils. All these cultural relics are unearthed and collected from Ji’an. The museum is open year-round from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-16:00; closed all day on Mondays; and open on National Day from 09:00-17:00.
