I. Main Scenic Area of Hanxianyan
Hanxianyan is named after Han Zhongli, one of the Eight Immortals, who attained immortality here. This is the gathering place of the Eight Immortals and where Zhongli attained enlightenment. Since ancient times, men of letters have been attracted to come here. Wen Tianxiang, a national hero and right prime minister in the Southern Song Dynasty; Luo Qinshun, minister of personnel in the Ming Dynasty; Ouyang De, minister of rites in the Ming Dynasty; Guo Zizhang, minister of war in the Ming Dynasty; Luo Hongxian, a famous geographer and author of ‘Guangyutu’ in the Ming Dynasty; Zou Yuanbiao, the censor-in-chief of the left in the Ming Dynasty, etc.

all came to Hanxianyan and left their traces. There are nearly 40 scenic spots in Hanxianyan. When tourists are in Hanxianyan, all they see are wonderful views. Moreover, there are scenes within scenes, and every scene has a legend. Such as ‘A group of elephants coming out of the mountain, Hezhangmen, Monk’s Cap Stone, Standing thousands of feet high, Huixiantai, Xianrendong, Tiantai, Wentiantai, Long live the emperor for ten thousand years, The place where Han Zhongli attained enlightenment, Tiangen, Yueku, Risking one’s life to burn incense, Yixiantian, Tongtiandong, Xianv’s shoes, Shenlong Gorge, Qiyutai, Tianmen and other magical landscapes.

II. Ten-Mile Gallery of Hanxian Lake

Hanxian Lake is a scenic area with rich natural landscapes in the national-level scenic area of Hanxianyan. It is formed by building Yangziyan Reservoir by blocking the Xiangjiang River. Built relying on Yangziyan Reservoir, it was rated as a national water conservancy scenic area in 2010. It is a water conservancy scenic area mainly for ecological sightseeing, leisure vacation and cultural experience.

Hanxian Lake starts from Yangziyan Wharf and ends at Hanxianyan Wharf. The waterway voyage is a total of 14 Chinese miles. Along the way, the Danxia landform is peculiarly spectacular, and the uncanny workmanship of nature is vividly displayed. Such as Yunduan Jingba – Yangziyan, Galloping Horse Looking at the River, Junmen Stone, Official Cap Stone, Tianluo Peak, Camel Peak, Old God of Longevity Viewing and so on.

III. ‘Enlightenment – Hanxianyan’ Light and Shadow Show

The live-action light and shadow show ‘Enlightenment – Hanxianyan’ incorporates elements of Eight Immortals culture and technological light and shadow. Based on the natural scenery of Hanxian Lake and taking the immortal culture as the soul for integrated creation, it is a large-scale immersive experiential live-action show. The show revolves around the immortal theme of ‘entering the earth and ascending to heaven, becoming an immortal with one thought’.

Han Zhongli, one of the Eight Immortals, invites the other seven immortals to Hanxianyan where he attained immortality. Here, they eliminated the millennium dragon, bringing happiness to the people so that they can live and work in peace and contentment. They transformed the evil dragon into a human being and named him Long’an. The performance cruise ship departs from Yangziyan Wharf and finally arrives at Hanxianyan Wharf to disembark.

The whole journey is 7.8 kilometers long, passing through 15 light and shadow nodes. The performance lasts for 70 minutes. The light and shadow show tells touching historical stories and interprets legendary tales between heaven and earth. Listen to beautiful legends through thousands of years.

Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:30 to 16:30.

Talents and experts: Full-time postgraduate students and experts directly contacted by Ganzhou City with relevant valid identification enjoy free admission.

On-duty police officers: Police officers in all levels of public security organs in the province (valid until June 20, 2024) enjoy free admission.

Minors: Individuals aged 6 to 18 (exclusive of 6 and 18) with valid identification enjoy half-price tickets.

Students: Full-time undergraduate students and below with valid identification enjoy half-price tickets.
