Yu Gu Tai is located on the top of Helan Mountain in the northern part of Ganzhou City, named after its high and solitary position, and is a provincial key scenic spot. The exact year of construction for Yu Gu Tai is untraceable; during the Tang Dynasty, Li Mian, the governor of Qianzhuo, renamed the platform to ‘Wang Que’ after ascending it to the north. Despite several periods of rise and fall, it still bears the name Yu Gu Tai.
In 1983, it was reconstructed following the style of the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty. The platform has three levels, stands 17 meters high, and covers an area of 300 square meters. Visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the city from Yu Gu Tai. The platform is open all year round from 09:00 to 21:30, with the specific operating status subject to the daily opening conditions.Yu Gu Tai has now been expanded into an open historical and cultural park – Yu Gu Tai Park. When visiting Yu Gu Tai, you can also tour the park.
