The Qingtian Glass Bridge is located in the Longtan Resort Area (a national AAAA-level tourist attraction) of the Huangchuan Three Gorges in Lianzhou area, Guangdong Province. It has the characteristics of large span, wide bridge deck, light weight and low beam. It is a fully transparent glass landscape bridge with multiple comprehensive functions such as pedestrian passage, sightseeing, bungee jumping, zip-lining and T-stage in the scenic area.

This glass bridge built on the ancient Qin and Han waterways spans the steep cliffs of the Huangchuan Three Gorges and offers a panoramic view of the large waterfall group in northern Guangdong. With its unique structure and extraordinary appearance, it has become an iconic building for Lianzhou City to rapidly create ‘historical and cultural tours, natural landscape tours, and international passage tours’.

The Qingtian Glass Bridge is built in mid-air between the lofty cliffs and flowing springs and waterfalls. It is suspended above the sheer cliffs and deep pools of the Huangchuan Three Gorges and integrates with the surrounding environment, presenting a majestic yet harmonious unity. From a distance, it looks like a soaring dragon amid the clouds. It flies over the steep cliffs of the grand canyon and shimmers faintly through the mist and clouds of the Huangchuan Three Gorges.

The color of the bridge body is the traditional Chinese red that has been passed down for thousands of years. This is not only a color loved by the Chinese nation but also the cultural totem and spiritual sustenance of the Chinese people. The tone of Chinese red makes the entire bridge even more stunning and eye-catching amid the common misty clouds in the Huangchuan Three Gorges. The Qingtian Glass Bridge has a total length of 526.

14 meters. It is a large single-span suspension bridge in a valley. The on-site construction adopts fully prefabricated imported bolt connections, which not only ensures the safety of the project and the stability of the structure but also enhances the excitement of sightseeing. The entire glass bridge is made of imported ultra-clear laminated glass with a thickness of 4.5 centimeters in three layers.

The light transmittance of this ultra-clear glass is 99.15%. Its crystal-like luster, high-definition brightness and ultra-high light refractive index all make tourists’ vision brighter, the viewing more transparent and the perception more exciting. Vertical circular arc stainless steel guardrails are used on both sides of the bridge to ensure safety while tourists take 360-degree views and photos on the glass bridge.

The designer has endowed the Qingtian Glass Bridge with many elements related to love. Starting from stepping on this glass bridge, a romantic journey begins. The crowning touch is that the bridge deck gradually turns into four mutually symmetrical ‘heart-to-heart’ ultra-wide viewing platforms that can accommodate 1,000 people at the same time. It seems to be waiting for the vows of eternal love between lovers and the pursuit of dreams of the pure-hearted.

Each ‘heart’-shaped platform is 13 meters wide and 14 meters long, implying ‘forever and ever’. Walking on the aerial glass sky bridge and looking down, dozens of waterfalls are suspended and fall into the river, spraying like mist. The cliffs on both sides of the gorge are deep and steep, straight as if cut by a knife. The cliffs stand towering and are as beautiful as a rainbow in the sunlight. Standing in the transcendent poetic and picturesque corridor, yet walking with a trembling heart in mid-air.

This kind of ‘eyes in heaven, body in hell’ fantasy journey is suitable for advancing hand in hand with lovers and testing the courage of love between each other.

Descending the mountain, the ancient plank road along the winding water offers several photo spots, making it a must-visit for couples and families. The destination is the Peach Blossom Island, known as the ‘Terminal of Romance’. This ‘red dragon’ spanning across the Huangchuan Three Gorges exudes the antique charm of the Qin and Han dynasties, continues the prosperous aura of the Tang and Song legacies, follows the brilliant and splendid Wei and Jin dynasties, and flows with the unique elegance of the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties.

Its rich cultural connotations are intricately woven into the Chinese knot on both bridge towers, epitomizing the unending history of the descendants of the dragon, and also representing ‘auspiciousness and good fortune’ as well as ‘reunion and prosperity’. Open all year round from 08:30 to 17:00.
