Pingshan Tourism Area is situated in Jingshi Township, in the southern part of Yudu County, 55 kilometers from the county town, 32 kilometers from the Xiarong Expressway exit, and 9 kilometers from the Ning’an Expressway exit. It enjoys convenient transportation with direct public buses from the county town to the scenic area.
Pingshan has an elevation of 1312 meters, making it one of the highest peaks in the county. Surrounding the mountain base for hundreds of miles, the terrain is formed by layers of rocks, with high mountains resembling screens and crisscrossing ravines, home to rare animals and plants. The midsection of the mountain is covered by an ancient forest that blocks out the sky and the sun.
On the summit, there are undulating 50,000 mu of natural grasslands, integrating the majestic southern mountain scenery with the grassland beauty of the north. The Pingshan Tourism Area features distinctive leisure projects with prominent functions, strong knowledge, interest, and experiential qualities. It includes a visitor reception center, a dairy cattle breeding area, a milk processing workshop, forest trails for hiking, mountain roads, a temple at the peak of Jinalun Mountain, high-altitude wind power, and a European-style resort prepared specifically for tourists.
Opening hours are from 08:00 to 17:00 all year round. Preferential policies include: Children under 1.2 meters (not including) enter for free; children between 1.2 meters (including) and 1.4 meters (including) pay half price. Students with valid student IDs from full-time primary, middle, and high schools pay half price. Elderly individuals aged 65 years (including) and above enter for free with an ID card; those aged 60 years (including) to 65 years (excluding) pay half price with an ID card. Active-duty military personnel enter for free with an officer’s ID. Disabled individuals enter for free with valid documentation.
Service facilities include transportation within the park: reference price is 30 yuan per person (one-way).
