Qiyin Valley is located in Guming Temple Village, east gate of Mingyue Mountain in Yichun. It is composed of natural and cultural landscapes such as cherry blossoms covering the slopes, terraced field relics, Shenlong Waterfall, paradise on earth, and red leaves of Yangshan Mountain. Qiyin Valley covers an area of more than 1,850 mu, and the total investment in the first phase is nearly 80 million yuan. There is Fuhui Temple, which was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty more than 2,000 years ago. At the bottom is Yangshan Qiyin Zen Temple, the ancestral court of Zen Buddhism of the millennium-old temple. Surrounded by mountains, the mountain stream of Qiyin Valley flows through it. Yangshan Mountain is named after its mountain shape ‘towering tens of thousands of feet and impossible to climb’. The buildings in Qiyin Valley are built along the mountain stream and are divided into four parts: catering, tea, guest rooms, and sightseeing. The catering can receive more than 700 people at one time and can host large-scale wedding banquets. The nearly 400-square-meter tea room by the stream is for burning incense, boiling tea, and enjoying tea and self-cultivation. There are more than 60 sets of guest rooms, allowing tourists to travel through ancient and modern times, sleep at night in ‘Xizhai’ and sleep by the stream. Experience the beauty of staying overnight in Guming Temple Village and realizing Zen and seclusion as experienced by famous people in history. More than 2,000 cherry trees are transplanted in the park. In March, the flowers are in full bloom. People in Yichun no longer need to line up in Wuhan to watch cherry blossoms. In golden autumn in October, the red leaves of Yangshan Mountain are dyed layer by layer, adding a touch of beautiful pastel to the green bamboo sea of Mingyue Mountain. In midsummer after rain, Shenlong Waterfall is majestic. The plank road and stone path along the stream wind back and forth, and the waterfall rushes down. At the inner end, the statue of Guanyin in still water stands solemnly. Worries are relieved, the mind is enlightened, and the nature of the mind is seen. The guest rooms in Qiyin Valley are by the mountain and by the stream, enjoying clouds and listening to the wind. In those days, Fan Chengda set out from Zhutian Village, passed Meizhou Village to the Dragon King Temple (Fuhui Temple) in Guming Temple Village. Moved by the bamboo sea, waterfalls and deep ravines here, he simply ‘asked the dragon for a place and unpacked his luggage to listen to the rain and sleep in Xizhai’. The long-cherished wish of the ancients is reproduced here. Being on the scene, one can find leisure in a busy life, explore the ancient and seek the secluded, which is truly a blessing in life.
