Jiu Xian Lake Scenic Area is located in You County, Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, and is the core scenic area of Jiu Bu Jiang Tourism Area. It is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, national geopark, national wetland park, national water conservancy scenic spot, provincial scenic area, and provincial tourist resort. The scenic area is advantageously located and easily accessible, only a 2-hour drive from the Chang-Zhu-Tan urban cluster. The lake area of Jiu Xian Lake is 11.2 square kilometers, with a total water storage capacity of 300 million cubic meters, an average water depth of 37 meters, and a deep-water navigation channel of 24 kilometers. The banks of Jiu Xian Lake are surrounded by towering mountains, layered peaks, lush forests, and vibrant greenery all year round. Being in this environment makes one feel far from the hustle and bustle, with a relaxed and pleasant mood, reminiscent of Su Shi’s carefree and contented state of living.
Jiu Xian Lake Scenic Area is connected by an 18-kilometer ecological lake circuit, linking six major areas including dynamic water bay sports, green water and green mountain camping, You Nu fairyland folk experience, fishing, woodcutting, farming, and reading wetland leisure, You Zhou memory lakeside leisure, and green mountain and valley forest health care. The area is striving to create a well-known tourist leisure resort in the province, featuring outdoor sports and natural vacationing, covering sports leisure, vacation health care, team building expansion, and parent-child research learning. It is currently creating a national tourist resort. In recent years, Jiu Xian Lake Scenic Area has relied on its high-quality water resources and rich ecological resources to explore new models of integrated development of sports industry and cultural tourism through holding brand sports events, promoting the deep integration of sports tourism in Jiu Xian Lake. The lake circuit, which took four years to build, is about 18 kilometers long and 6 meters wide, and is the first standard lake circuit in Hunan Province. The beautiful environment by the lake and the mountain, as well as the varied terrain conditions, make it an excellent place for cycling, health running, and walking sports, and it is also a beautiful lake circuit in Hunan Province. Jiu Xian Lake Scenic Area has successively hosted the fourth Hunan Sports Tourism Festival and many sports events at the city and county levels, and it is a key leisure sports tourism destination in Zhuzhou and You County.

Opening hours are all year round from 08:30 to 16:00.
