The Gongcheng Martial Temple, originally constructed during the Ming Dynasty, has a history of 400 years and is now a key cultural relics protection unit in the autonomous region. The temple complex covers an area of 2100 square meters and is located to the right of the Confucius Temple at the southern foot of Mount Yin. The temple architecture is divided into several sections including the stage, main hall, Xie Tian Palace, rear hall, and eastern and western wing halls. The entire structure features double eaves with a mountain-shaped roof, upturned corners, ridge decorations made of clay, and vividly sculpted figures of immortals in both bright and dark colors. The yellow and green glazed tiles blend harmoniously with the radiance of the Confucius Temple, creating a dazzling sea of light at the foot of Mount Yin. The stage of the Martial Temple is one of the two well-preserved ancient stages in Guangxi. Except for the stone-built base, the upper part of the stage is entirely wooden. The stone carvings on the base depict reliefs of figures, and the stage features carved doors, windows, and shrines. Four golden pillars extend to the top, bearing the load of the upper structure, while the eaves pillars reach the lower eaves. Thirty-six water jars were once placed under the stage, reflecting the sound from different angles when drums and gongs are played on stage, concentrating the resonance in the ceiling and amplifying the sound, making it audible from ten miles away. The stage is adorned with red walls and yellow tiles, with double eaves and upturned corners, and ridge decorations featuring dragons, phoenixes, and immortals in clay, all lifelike. The front and rear halls are even more impressive with their intricate beams and upturned eaves, leaving viewers in awe.
