Ganzhou Natural Museum, also known as Ganzhou City Museum, is located on Changning Road, west of the Central Park in Zhangjiang New District, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. It covers an area of approximately 61 acres with an exhibition area of 10,300 square meters and is currently a second-level national museum.
Ganzhou Natural Museum is a century-old classic museum that integrates science education, tourism services, specimen collection, and academic research into a modern comprehensive natural museum. Once completed, the project will become the ninth comprehensive natural museum at the prefecture level nationwide. It plays a significant role in enhancing the urban quality of Ganzhou, creating a large-scale, regional, and modern central city that connects four provinces, serving the science education of 4 million young people in Ganzhou, and promoting the economic development of Ganzhou’s tourism. Opening Hours: January 1st to September 17th, Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:00; September 19th to December 31st, Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:00; January 1st to September 17th, Monday, closed all day; September 19th to December 31st, Monday, closed all day; New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day, 09:00-18:00; September 18th, closed all day. Service Facilities: Luggage Storage: Please do not bring large items into the museum. Small items can be stored for free, and valuables should be carried with you. Audio Guide Rental: Can be arranged at the audio guide rental desk in the lobby on the first floor; Stroller Rental: Baby stroller service is provided at the south gate’s luggage storage; Wheelchair Rental: Wheelchair service is provided at the south gate’s luggage storage. Must-see Tips: 1. Visitors must collect tickets on-site with their valid ID at the ticket collection point. One ticket per person, valid for the day and time, and void after expiration. 2. Social groups and travel agencies must book tickets 24 hours in advance. 3. People with improper attire, intoxicated individuals, and those with mental illnesses are not allowed to enter. Visitors must pass through security before entering the museum. It is strictly forbidden to bring in flammable, explosive, controlled weapons, corrosive items, and other dangerous goods, as well as pets, large items, and items that can pollute the exhibition environment. 4. Preschool children, the elderly, and those with mobility issues must be accompanied by an adult to enter the museum. The elderly and those with mobility issues can be prioritized for ticket collection and entry by staff. 5. Please consciously abide by the museum’s visiting system and follow the guidance of staff members. Smoking, eating, shouting, chasing, climbing, lying down, spitting indiscriminately, littering, and other uncivilized behaviors are strictly prohibited in the exhibition halls. Please maintain quietness, pay attention to environmental hygiene, and maintain visiting order. 6. Please consciously care for cultural relics, exhibition facilities, and other public service facilities, as well as flowers, plants, and trees.In case of damage, compensation must be made at the original price and corresponding legal responsibilities shall be borne.
