Diao Yuan Ancient Village is located in the west of Ji’an City, Jiangxi Province, north of Xingqiao Town. Ancient camphor trees form a dense forest, with lush greenery and the occasional glimpse of black tiles and grey bricks under the foliage. The villagers, young and old, enjoy a peaceful and contented life.
Paths paved with bluestone slabs wind and stretch towards the ancient dwellings. Walking on these smooth and polished slabs, one sees the old houses, varying in height, orderly arranged, exuding an air of tranquility and antiquity, captivating to visitors.
