The Guangdong Fogang Guanyin Mountain Provincial Nature Reserve is located in Gaogang Town, 20 kilometers north of Fogang County. It is only a 20-minute drive from the Gaogang entrance and exit of the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway. It is a provincial-level nature reserve. Guanyin Mountain is rich in animal and plant resources. There are a total of 1073 species of vascular plants on Guanyin Mountain. There are 16 species of endangered animals. There are two national first-class protected animals, namely clouded leopard and python. There are 14 national second-class protected animals such as pangolin, otter, small-clawed otter, spotted linsang, large civet, etc. The Longtan Waterfall at the foot of Guanyin Mountain is the main landscape. The entire waterfall is 60 meters wide and has a drop of 100 meters. Looking from afar, it is like a white silk hanging in the air. Looking closely, it is like a silver snake dancing. The scene is like ‘The waterfall plunges three thousand feet straight down, suspected to be the Milky Way falling from the ninth heaven.’ If tourists are in the mood, they can swim and bathe in the deep pool of about 100 square meters and barbecue by the deep pool. Guanyin Mountain has now become an ideal place for tourists to enjoy forest bathing, escape the summer heat, and have leisure vacations, as well as a good stop for mountaineering explorers.
