Invested and developed by Shenzhen West Lake Enterprise Development Company, Yitang in Meizhou is a tourist attraction and project. Legend has it that there are nine dragons playing in the water all year round in Yitang Scenic Area, hence the name ‘Jiulongtang’. It is also a large lychee planting base in Meizhou City. Within the Yitang Scenic Area, there are activities such as Yitang Reservoir Cruise, Gu Mountain Fresh Fruit Tasting, fishing grounds, and hunting grounds.

If you visit around July when lychees are in season, you can enjoy the sweet and tender lychees and experience the poetic sentiment of Su Dongpo’s ‘Eating three hundred lychees a day, I would not mind being a Lingnan person all the time’.
