Invested and developed by Shenzhen West Lake Enterprise Development Company, Yitang in Meizhou is a tourist attraction and project. Legend has it that there are nine dragons playing in the water all year round in Yitang Scenic Area, hence the name ‘Jiulongtang’. It is also a large lychee planting base in Meizhou City. Within the Yitang Scenic Area, there are activities such as Yitang Reservoir Cruise, Gu Mountain Fresh Fruit Tasting, fishing grounds, and hunting grounds.

Wuhua County, in conjunction with the actual situation of Yitang Reservoir, focuses on ‘mountain-water-fruit’ to create unique and new attractions, enriching the highlights of ‘tour-watch-walk-eat-play’, and developing eco-tourism. Yitang Scenic Area is known for its fragrant fruits all year round, with citrus, oranges, lychees, pomelos, plums, and other fruits grown here, allowing visitors to taste fresh fruits every season.

Fresh fruit tasting is a major feature within Yitang Area, where visitors can witness the bountiful harvest of fruits hanging from the branches and even pick fresh and sweet fruits themselves during the ripening seasons. If you visit around July when lychees are in season, you can enjoy the sweet and tender lychees and experience the poetic sentiment of Su Dongpo’s ‘Eating three hundred lychees a day, I would not mind being a Lingnan person all the time’.

The area is open all year round from 09:00 to 18:00, with preferential policies from 09:00 to 17:00. Additional information on preferential policies: 1. Children under 1.5 meters in height can purchase discounted tickets (10 yuan per ticket). 2. The above information is for reference only; please check the day’s disclosure at the scenic area for specific details.
