Since its establishment, Mayuan Poets have integrated and fused various styles from early Grunge to Dance Rock, British indie rock, and infused with the local genes of the southwestern region. They are restrained yet intense, emotionally inclusive yet externally torn, gradually forming their unique aesthetic system – diverse and wild, romantic and restless.
The band members consist of ‘lead vocalist/guitarist’ Ku Guo, ‘bassist’ Ji Wei, ‘drummer’ Lin Xiao, and ‘guitarist’ Yu Xiaoqiang. In 2023, the band became a dark horse in ‘The Band’s Summer 3’ with their infectious covers and original performances, with their cover of ‘Rainbow’s Smile’ becoming a popular song. The band gained widespread recognition through the show.
In March 2024, Mayuan Poets embarked on a North American tour, visiting six cities including New York, Seattle, and Boston, taking their music overseas for the first time. In the fall of 2024, Mayuan Poets launched their first arena-level concert series ‘This Stop Mayuan’, after the carnival in Beijing and Guangzhou’s ‘Mayuan Utopia’, the next stop, Suzhou, is about to set off.
The ‘This Stop Mayuan’ series is divided into three chapters – Mayuan-style Utopia, Overlapping Platforms, and On the Road. The platform is both an endpoint and a starting point, a connection between the past and the future, a collision of freedom and framework, a contradiction between ideals and reality. Where will we go? From the previous underground livehouse performances to national music festivals, and then to overseas tours, Mayuan Poets have continuously reviewed themselves and optimized their works in countless music scenes. They have experienced the transformation of musical styles and the iteration of band members, and the musical resonance on and off stage has jointly shaped the current era of Mayuan Poets.
After years of accumulation, Mayuan Poets became known to more listeners with their song ‘Lugu Lake’. These feelings in the songs may resonate with our lives in certain dimensions and moments. These feelings are rooted in life and immersed in the imagination of nothingness, composing a chapter of Mayuan Poets’ rock life. Their songs, riding the express train of the information development era of short videos, have quickly swept the network. The tide of the times has made them the ‘internet band’ in others’ mouths overnight, and ‘The Band’s Summer 3’ has garnered them even more attention and broken through the circle.
On December 28, 2024, we will once again experience the resonance of sound and the synchronization of heartbeats at ‘This Stop Mayuan’ in Suzhou.

The ‘This Station Mayuan’ concert has been upgraded in production standards, sound configuration, song arrangement, stage design, and visual imagery, with meticulous polishing and creative arrangement to showcase the overall concept of the concert in three chapters, integrating audio and visual experiences. This concert also features several previously unreleased tracks, showcasing the Mayuan Poet’s new musical thoughts and artistic forms. In terms of the band and sound system setup, top-tier audio equipment is used to create a comfortable and impactful listening experience in all directions.
