Kuiyang Park is located on the east side of the central section of Chengnanmen Street. The architecture within the park is distinctive and elegant. The main entrance archway is majestic and grand, featuring a pair of male and female stone lions and towering bells and drums. The archway is inscribed with the words ‘Kuiyang Park’, written by Wu Nansheng, the former chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Political Consultative Conference. On the pillars of the pavilion, there are engraved couplets: ‘The Kui Mountain’s vastness eternally recommends this Wenchang Pavilion Tower, and the brilliant sunshine just glimpses those mirages.’ The park is adorned with pavilions and small pavilions scattered throughout, with bonsai, rockeries, small bridges, orchid gardens, and ancient banyan trees selected for their scenic value. The waterside pavilions and towers, with their graceful willows, present a vibrant appearance, adding to the charm of the ancient relics. The park is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
