Gongqian Grand Circle refers to the Tianhou Palace, which is a landmark in Houzhai Town and one of the earlier Tianhou Palaces in Nan’ao County following Shen’ao Tianhou Palace. It features a hard mountain top architectural structure with intricate wood carvings and camel humps often designed in the styles of grass flowers, lions, crabs, and other patterns. The roof ridge is sculpted with double herring spitting grass in the form of embedded porcelain, with fish-shaped dragon heads and curled tails.
