Fenghuang Mountain in Chaozhou is the second highest peak in the eastern Guangdong region. It is located in Chao’an County, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province. According to legend, a long time ago, a golden phoenix laid two eggs in a nest on this mountain, which hatched into two young phoenixes. These two phoenixes, after cultivation, finally achieved immortality and transformed into two beautiful young ladies, doing good deeds and accumulating virtues, bringing auspicious peace and tranquility to the world. The climate here is warm and humid, with abundant rainfall, perennial mist and large diurnal temperature differences, making it the main production area for Wudong Dancong tea.
