The Lianhua Cave scenic area mainly showcases the ancient human site of Lianhua Cave. It is supplemented by the natural scenery of Bailong Lake and Lover’s Valley, and the human history such as Zhao Gou, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty. It highlights the two major scenic spots of meticulously renovated Lianhua Cave and Bailong Lake. The west entrance and the scenery along the way are supplementary. The Lianhua Cave is developed in the limestone of the Qinglong Formation of the Triassic period. The elevation of the cave entrance is 35 meters. In 1982, it was excavated by archaeologists. A right lower third incisor of Homo sapiens was found in the cave, which is extremely precious. In addition, there are fossils of more than 20 kinds of mammals such as buffalo, brown bear, and porcupine. According to research, it is about more than 100,000 years ago. To utilize this value and refine the Lianhua Cave and ancient human site scenic spots, a large ancient human site memorial hall can be built at the foot of the mountain in combination with the natural scenery. Inside, the archaeological value of the ancient human site and precious archaeological pictures are listed. In other rooms, several main caves in Nanshan Scenic Area, including Lianhua Cave, Warcraft Cave, Bagong Cave, Taoyuan Lake Water Cave, and Guanyin Cave, Bailong Cave, Fahai Cave, and Sanzhao Cave in the urban area and their pictures can be displayed. From the foot of the mountain to the front of the cave, long stone steps are laid with stones. In front of the cave, relatively large-scale memorial halls and commemorative pavilions and other scenic spot buildings are built. At the foot of the mountain, there is a spring pool with an ancient name of ‘Niliu Spring’. Rebuild ‘Niliu Spring’ and let it flow into the pond at the west entrance through a winding stream. Therefore, it is recommended to expand the pond at the west entrance and rename it Lianhua Lake (matching the Niliu Spring of Lianhua Cave). Lotus can also be planted in the pond to form a lotus pond scenic spot. Build the legend of Zhao Gou, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty (according to historical records, when Zhao Gou, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty was in distress, he once fled to the foot of Bailong Mountain in Nanshan) at the side of the memorial hall at the foot of the mountain. Build a commemorative pavilion called ‘Wild Fruit to Satisfy Hunger Pavilion’. Together with the ancient human site buildings, it forms a building complex, the Lianhua Cave scenic spot.
