As China’s first pastry museum, Shengxin Company has not only created the museum as a static exhibition area, but also transformed it into a comprehensive dynamic tourism-oriented exhibition area that combines classical and modern civilizations. The museum has collected more than 1,000 pastry-making utensils, folk objects and pictures related to pastries from the people. More than 300 pieces are exhibited on the opening day.
The continuous development of the pastry manufacturing industry reflects the continuous improvement of people’s living standards. The pastry history treasured and displayed by the Shengxin Pastry Museum embodies the inheritance of culture and emotion. It is a very valuable intangible cultural heritage. Shengxin’s pastry museum will focus on displaying various traditional and classic foods as well as various works related to food by well-known artists. The museum is divided into several exhibition areas such as ancient, modern and Shengxin. In the ancient pastry culture exhibition area of the museum, in addition to displaying various traditional classic food models and production tools, there are also six antique workshops specially set up for moon cakes, zongzi, etc. In addition, there is a bronze statue of Zhuge Liang, the originator of steamed buns, and multiple figurine products, reproducing the ancient food production situation. In the Lingnan pastry culture exhibition area, various traditional and classic foods as well as various works related to food by well-known artists are displayed.
