Yuewang Mountain Scenic Area is located on the banks of the Dongjiang River in Guzu Town, Zijin County, Heyuan City, covering an area of two square kilometers. It is characterized by Danxia landform, consisting of dozens of stone mountains that are steep and beautiful. The main peak reaches an elevation of 316 meters, surrounded by precipitous cliffs, with lush vegetation at the valley floor and the mountain’s base, creating a verdant landscape. Following the more than ten kilometers of circular mountain trails through the area, one can recapture the joy at the foot of the mountain, forgetting the hardships of the climb. This wooden plank road, composed of wooden walkways and red stone paths, traverses deep valleys, cliffs, and steep ridges. The legend of Yuewang Mountain is just a backdrop to the mountain, and the main attraction is rock climbing, offering the thrilling experience of clinging to the rock face like a gecko. Leveraging its natural terrain, Yuewang Mountain has set up natural rock climbing walls. It is open all year round from 08:00 to 18:00.
