Xiangtou Mountain Scenic Area is located in the central southern part of Boluo County, 18 kilometers away from the urban area of Huizhou City, with an area of 33 square kilometers.
Xiangtou Mountain was formed from volcanic rocks during the Cretaceous period, with towering and majestic rock walls, and the main peak, Xieyan Ding, stands at an altitude of 1023 meters. The bedrock of the mountain forms a unique ‘stone egg’ landscape, which is wonderfully layered and lifelike. Xiangtou Mountain is rich in biological resources, with vegetation coverage reaching over 90%, and it is home to more than 1500 species of plants, including valuable species such as Ading Maple, Narrow-leaf Boxwood, and various orchids. There are also protected animals like Sambar Deer, Clouded Leopard, and Pangolins. The Xiaojin River, a tributary of the Dongjiang River originating from Xiangtou Mountain, is 24 kilometers long, with a winding and narrow river course and a drop of 704 meters, making it very suitable for crossing and river tracing sports.
